During her career as a journalist in Central Asia, Iris Oppelaar is amased by the weaving expertise of women in Kyrgystan. There's a real tradition in transforming camel wool into hand woven cloths. It's a tradition honored by the oldest generations who motivate young women to guarantee their financial independance by continuing the hand weaving activities. 

In 2022, Iris starts the company Jün with a selected offer of nich interior fabrics. The camel wool is the initial protagonist of the brand, but in the meantime, Jün also embraces other natural yarns such as silk, cotton and nettle. 

Jün Interiors is an ode to nature, weaving artisan and women. The loyaltiy of Jün towards her artisan partners is translated into a socialy responsible entrepreneurship where nature and humanity are key.
