And if you are one of those people who gets excited when they see a beautiful rug, rejoice! Paris Déco Off/Home is back for its 14th edition with the theme “The Tree of Life.” From January 17 to 21, 2024, nearly 150 designers and publishers from the world of decoration await you in their Parisian showrooms on the Left and Right Banks for a discovery of this year’s decoration trends. For 5 days, Paris becomes the decoration capital of the world. Head to the Saint-Germain-des-Prés district, rue du Mail, , Place des Victoires and Place Saint-Sulpice in Paris to discover what’s new in the world of interior design. Meet established artists and emerging talent in 150 showrooms brimming with armchairs, lamps, cushions, curtains, wallpaper, decorative items…. But Paris Déco Off/Home is also an outdoor art gallery! Once again this year, the Festival des Étoffes invites the Hôtel de l’Industrie, the “Passage Saint-Sulpice” (the new ephemeral space on Place Saint-Sulpice) and the restaurant Le Moulin de la Vierge to dress up their outdoor windows with wallpaper, curtains decorated with passementerie. Ecart International’s famous oversized furniture is also back, as are the now traditional giant light bulbs that illuminate and mark the entire route along the right and left banks. At Place des Petits-Pères, a large space under Plexiglas will display Luteca’s creations, as well as one of the artisans who has come all the way from Mexico to make a series of baskets out of cactus stems and reeds for passersby to look at. Also new this year is an Art-Nouveau-style champagne bar in the center aisle of the Passage Saint-Sulpice.
